Terms of Service

Effective March 10, 2026

These terms govern access to VantageOpsix, including the client console, the Field Service app and store mode tablets. A signed master services agreement or order form with Securvantage Technologies takes precedence where it conflicts with these terms.

1. Accounts

Accounts are provisioned by Securvantage Technologies for customer organizations; there is no public sign-up. You must keep your credentials confidential, use only your own account, and tell us promptly at security@securvantage.io if you suspect unauthorized access. The customer organization is responsible for the actions of the users it authorizes.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • monitor any place where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy (restrooms, changing or sleeping areas);
  • record or intercept audio or communications without the consent required by law;
  • use the service to stalk, harass or unlawfully discriminate, or to track individuals beyond legitimate security purposes;
  • trigger false alarms or dispatch requests, or bypass alarm verification;
  • probe, scan or test the service's security without written permission, or attempt to access other customers' data;
  • reverse engineer, resell or sublicense the service except as permitted by your agreement.

3. Customer responsibilities

The customer is responsible for the lawful operation of cameras, access control and monitoring at its premises, including posting signage, giving any employee-monitoring notices, obtaining any required alarm permits, keeping emergency contact and site information current, and setting video retention on its own recorders. See Surveillance & Alarm Compliance.

4. Alarm response limitations

VantageOpsix helps verify and route alarm signals; it is not a substitute for calling 911. Signals forwarded for dispatch go through a licensed central monitoring station and the responding agency decides whether, when and how to respond. Delivery depends on power, networks and third-party systems outside our control. Response times, deterrence and loss-prevention results are not guaranteed, and the service is not insurance. Life-safety systems (fire alarms, sprinklers) must be installed and monitored per applicable fire code and are not replaced by VantageOpsix.

5. Customer data

Customers own their data. We process it only to provide the service and as described in the Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum, which form part of these terms. On termination, customers can export their data for 30 days, after which it is deleted.

6. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but the service may be interrupted for maintenance or events beyond our control. Any service-level commitments and credits are set out in your order form. We may improve or change features; we will not materially reduce core functionality during a paid term without notice.

7. Intellectual property

Securvantage Technologies owns the service, software, Securvantage and VantageOpsix names and logos. Open-source components are licensed under their own terms, listed in Notices. Feedback you give may be used without obligation.

8. Disclaimers

Except as expressly stated in your agreement, the service is provided "as is" and Securvantage Technologies disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law. Demonstration environments use illustrative data that does not represent actual customer results.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or lost profits, and each party's total liability is limited to the fees paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not apply to a party's indemnity obligations, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend access that threatens the security of the service or violates these terms, with notice where practical. Either party may terminate as set out in the agreement. Sections that by nature should survive termination (data, IP, disclaimers, liability) survive.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state named in your master services agreement or order form, or, if none is named, the state in which Securvantage Technologies is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions: legal@securvantage.io.
